This group successfully grew the business and then sold it in 1974 to Houston-based National Steel Products Company. In 1982, partly due to economics, National Steel sold it back to the employees who had formed an ESOP. The ESOP held together through 1986 when a Holding Company took over ownership. Three and a half years later, Premier Products, Inc. was formed. After procuring Dittco’s fixed assets, establishing a new group of investors, and with the dedication from former Dittco employees, Premier officially opened in January of 1990.
